Below is a list of the products I have personally tested and the pH result I got for each. The pH of of healthy skin is within the range 4.0-6.0, with an average of 4.7. By only using products formulated within this range this will assist the skin in returning to its optimal acidity level after cleansing and ensure it maintains its optimal moisture balance and overall health. How I pH Test My Skincare
H: refers to the hydrogen ion concentration in an aqueous solution. Olive oil and other oils are not water soluble so their acidity cannot be measured in terms of pH.
In chemistry, pH is a scale used to measure the relative acidity or basicity of an aqueous (water containing) solution. Essentially that is, one in which a solute is dissolved in water. Because only aqueous solutions have pH levels, pure oil has no pH value. Therefore facial oils wont have a pH value, but oil cleansers may depending on the amount of water soluble ingredients present in the formulation.
