Halo Haircare Society was started by Nicola, a professional hairdresser with over 20 years of experience who wanted to create a line of haircare that used a range of locally sourced, natural ingredients, backed by science that had a pH perfectly cohesive with the hair and scalp. Halo’s ingredients are never tested on animals, and safe for you and the environment. No sulphates, parabens or alcohols are used and all ingredients were carefully chosen to be gentle and effective. Unfortunately, at this stage HALO products are only available in New Zealand.

Hydrated HALO Pre-Treat:
The Hydrated Halo Pre-treat is a pre-shampoo treatment designed to help protect the hair by ensuring the natural oils are not stripped from the hair shaft during shampooing. It also doubles as a leave-in treatment that can protect the hair from the damaging effects of UV radiation, salt water and chlorine exposure. Formulated with macadamia seed oil, argan oil Vitamin E and silk protein, it is especially useful for anyone who regularly colours or heat-treats their hair or is prone to frizz and dullness.

Hydrated Heat HALO:
The Hydrated Heat Halo works to protect the hair from the effects of heat damage by nourishing the hair with avocado and argan oil. It also contains heat protecting polymers that create a protective barrier between your hair and the heat device up to 225 degrees. Panthenol (the pro-vitamin of B5) gives flexibility, which helps create bouncy, moveable, soft styles, and marshmallow root gives silky, tangle free hair. The low pH formula also helps to lock all the ingredients in and prevents them from evaporating as the hair dries.
Hydrated HALO Shampoo and Conditioner:
Hydrated Halo Shampoo gently cleanses your scalp without the use of sulphate containing surfactants. This provides hydration and when combined with a skin-friendly pH level, can ensure the skin on the scalp is in optimum condition for hair to grow healthy, strong, and shiny. Hydrated Halo Conditioner was created to provide shine, nourishment, and hydration. It works by delivering nourishing ingredients like pumpkin seed oil aloe vera extract and coconut oil into the cortex for healthy, strong hair, then contracting the cuticle for a smooth, flawless finish.
HALO Tangled Toner Spray:
The Tangle Toner was designed with the same pH as the hair shaft to instantly close the cuticle of the hair, preventing dullness, frizz and flyways. As the hair needs to be acidic to be at its healthiest, and washing and treatments all raise the pH level of the hair, this toner gently returns the hair back to its optimal pH level in the same way a facial toner was designed to. The formula also contains squalane and olive oil to repair and protect the hair from damage, and botanical extracts for adding strength and shine.
HALO Hydrated Hair Oil:
This nourishing and repairing oil can be used as a pre-treatment for dehydrated hair, as part of the LOC (liquid -> oil -> cream) method, or as a finishing oil to smooth frizz. It can be applied on wet hair for nourishment and flexibility and or on dry hair for smoothness and shine. The main ingredient hempseed oil is effective at protecting the skin on the scalp from moisture loss and stimulating blood circulation, promoting healthy hair follicles. Grapeseed oil, castor oil, almond oil and argan oil all provide fatty acids and keep the hair hydrated and shiny.
HALO Stimulate and Strengthen Shampoo and Strengthen and Shine Conditioner:
The Stimulate and Strengthen range was developed for those who have issues with hair loss, or who have difficulty growing their hair longer either due to damaging treatments, medications or hormonal imbalances. The formula is rich in Centella asiatica extract, biotin, zinc, selenium and botanical extracts that increase blood circulation and stimulate hair growth.
HALO Toning Drops:
Purple pigments have long been used in haircare for neutralizing brassy and yellow tones. Crushed violet pigment works to restore the intended colour of hair, because on the colour wheel it is the opposite to yellow, allowing it to cancel out the unwanted hues. The HALO toning drops are a unique product that allows anyone who is looking to refresh blond or silver hair the convenience of adding the formula to their regular haircare products, that work for them without having to buy a different silver shampoo that might not be compatible with their hair concerns. The drops work with all products in the HALO range or with other brands. The best results will come from using a low pH haircare system at the same time, as having a smooth cuticle will ensure a more uniform result.
